Bekasi, January 11, 2023 – PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk (FajarPaper), a leading packaging paper producer and member of SCGP in Indonesia, is committed to improving the education level of the community by providing a proper teaching-learning environment. The school renovation program is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity and an implementation of the ESG 4 Plus (Environment, Social, and Governance) principles, has reached more than 30 schools in Bekasi Regency since 2013.

As an opening activity in 2023, on Wednesday (11/01), FajarPaper team attended the inauguration of Kemala Bhayangkari 57 Kindergarten which has a total of 77 students and also 4 teachers and is located at Jl. Bhayangkara No.58, Karangasih, Kec. Cikarang Utara, Bekasi Regency, West Java. Facilities provided for students are 4 classrooms, reading garden room, UKS room, computer room and also toilets. FajarPaper carried out renovations starting from May to July 2022, while the renovations carried out within 3 months included renovating all existing rooms including classrooms, playing fields, fencing and also making a new room for the meeting hall. The inauguration ceremony of Kemala Bhayangkari 57 Cikarang Utara Kindergarten was attended by Mr. Roy Teguh, Mr. Jefri D. Tambunan, and Mr. Kurniawan as management with assistance from the CSR team of PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk and inaugurated by the Bekasi Metro Police Chief. Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan accompanied by the Chairperson of the Bekasi Metro Branch Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation, Mrs. Luciana Gidion.

Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan, as the Bekasi Metro Police Chief said, “I would like to thank FajarPaper, in this case represented by Mr. Roy Teguh and his entire CSR team, who welcomed positively, opened their hands and hearts to take part in the construction of one of the educational facilities and infrastructure which is the domain of the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation. Einstein once said ‘the only way to change the world is education’. As the Chief of Police, I support the activities of Bhayangkari and the Foundation related to social and educational activities including kindergarten. In my opinion, this renovation is a way to contribute to the country and is meaningful for our children. Hopefully what we do can provide benefits and this is for the future of the Indonesian nation. Congratulations on using and making the best use of this facility, hopefully it will add joy to the education process.”

Mrs. Luciana Gidion, as Chairperson of the Metro Bekasi Branch of the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation said, “We represent the Regional Chairperson to thank you, because the construction of the hall and renovation of the Kemala Bhayangkari 57 Cikarang Kindergarten was realized with the help of the CSR program from PT Fajar Surya Wisesa and the work was carried out in a very short period of time, namely 3 months.”
